accept my word as authoritative –My resurrection from the dead.” He didn’t just
call upon them to believe the gospel; He offered evidence and signs that
confirmed that the gospel was actually true. John 2: 18-22
Non-Christians, skeptics, and people of other faiths
raise some very good questions regarding the Christian faith, questions that we
as Christians should be able to answer. The word apologetics comes from the
Greek word apologia found in 1 Peter 3:15 and means "defense." The Bible says
that we're to always be ready to give a "defense" (an apologia) to people who
ask us about the hope we have as Christians. Why does God want us to "defend the
faith"? Shouldn't we just preach the gospel? What Biblical examples are there of
people involved in defending the faith? You'll find answers to these questions
