DEUT. 29: 29a

“The secret things belong to the Lord our God…”

There are times, as I look through the newspaper when I feel ambitious and turn to the comic section.  Mind you not to read the comics, but to try my hand at the word puzzles that are positioned nearby.  I don’t bother with the crossword puzzle since I do poorly on it, instead, I tackle the word jumble and sometimes the word search.  These are more up my alley and I can usually conquer them fairly quickly.  Once they are done though, I have no further use for them; I can paint another kill on my fuselage and move on with my day.  God and His doings are a puzzle which many have tried to figure out but to no avail, they are always left with more questions than answers.  Some give up and forsake the quest by rejecting Him all together, others bend and twist God’s word, torture it, to make it say what they want but in doing so accept a humanized mutated version of the truth, while still others wisely resign themselves to the fact that God is a mystery and while in this limited state, humanity will always be at a loss for comprehension.  Isn’t it great that there are many things that we just don’t know, can’t know, and won’t know since only God does?  It’s a blessing to know that there are still mysteries in the world and universe that man can never fully understand or even be aware of.  That’s what makes God who He is and we, who we are.  We might have aspirations of knowing everything but it’s a good, humble day when we come to the realization that we are still created beings who depend upon our Creator for everything including revelation.  “Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain it.” Psalm 139: 6
